Constructive Translations had a presence at the recent “Sales Strategy” conference given by the Common Sense Advisory. The event was held in the lovely city of Barcelona, Spain and took place on the 10th and 11th of April.
Firstly, the event talked about the background and business expectations for the Language Service Industry over the next few years. Useful materials were provided showing the most important of global trends. In addition, we were given an introduction to Sales and Marketing for Language Services. This course content was very useful and all who attended seemed to gain something.
David Smith (Director of Constructive Translations) says that:
The talks were aimed at slightly larger companies than ours but contained a great deal of useful information. This will be the basis for our marketing strategy and sales process moving forward.
The event was held at a hotel right in the middle of Barcelona, on Las Ramblas. This gave the attendees a great opportunity to wonder through the city in the evenings. I stayed an extra day after the event finished and used the time to take the numerous tour bus routes through the city. As specialists in Construction and Engineering, we were really excited to get another look at some of the architectural masterpieces in the city. Gaudi’s Casa Mila was sadly covered with scaffolding, but there were many other treasures on display.
Chief among these treasures is Gaudi’s great masterpiece:
It is still not completed. Hard to imagine what it will be like when it does finally get completed. One of the real highlights of world architecture.
The team at Constructive Translations are looking forward to our next opportunity to visit Barcelona.
